Hypnosis without Trance
with James Rolph
23rd March at 7:30pm
James Rolph will be speaking about Hypnosis Without Trance (HWT) - a model for generating hypnotic phenomena without the induction of trance. This is an original process-based model for hypnosis which is congruent and compatible with NLP changework approaches, but steps away form the 'trance' frame. While Hypnosis Without Trance has garnered much acclaim, it has also stirred up a fair share of controversy in it's assertion that trance is not necessary for hypnosis. In the HWT model, hypnosis utilises everyday human cognitive mechanisms in generating for the subject a new percieved reality.
In this session he will not only explain the model, but will also be demonstrating how it works and, if there is time, teaching a little!
BIO
James Rolph is a Consultant Hypnotist, Changework Practitioner, SNLP Licensed Trainer of NLP and developer of the Hypnosis Without Trance (HWT) approach to Hypnosis ( http://www.hypnosiswithouttrance.com/ ). Aside from seeing clients, he spends much of his time teaching and lecturing on hypnosis, performing as a magician and mentalist, and experimenting with hypnosis in impromptu settings.
A couple of testimonials
I want to let you know how much I appreciate your videos and blog. I am an NLP and Hypnosis Trainer (US and UK) with a 30 year history in the field, and quite frankly, when I look around the "academic and professional hypnosis community", I see more bullshit than substance.
It is refreshing to see you at your art... and your great language utilization is as natural as it is effective. You are a member of an elite circle of hypnosis trainers - you're the real deal. I'm going to share your video with my students and friends."
Michael Watson – NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer of Hypnosis and NLP
"I thoroughly recommend spending some time in his (James') company. He knows many things, has the flexibility of an NLPer (a good one) the intent of a hypnotist (a good one) and the manners of a true gent.
He will bend you in two with his mind."
Anthony Jacquin – Hypnotist, Hypnosis Trainer, author of Reality is Plastic and creator of The Manchurian Approach
“James, it has been a pleasure to see you work! You have some great ideas and an infectious attitude to everything. In my opinion, you are one of the few hypnotists working today with a modern attitude to both the performance and the theory behind it.”

Pamela Gawler-Wright presents
Oops – I did it Again! Gaining the Value of Relapse
Broken any of those New Years Resolutions? Found yourself repeating a pattern of behaviour that you swore you wouldn’t do again? Or, as a practitioner you may be working with people who beat themselves up about promises they made to themselves or others that inexplicably fall down.
Change agents who gain lasting results do so by seeing recovery and growth as processes rather than as one-off events. By working with experiences of relapse creatively and with compassionate awareness we increase the depth, strength and ecology of change and enhance access to new resources and wisdom.
Psychotherapist and NLP Trainer Pamela Gawler-Wright has spent much of her time working with people with life-compromising and life-threatening addictions and disorders. The patterns that help people in recovery can be transferred to any attempt to break habits or change repetitive behaviour that we told ourselves we would stop, yet did again.
By the end of the evening you will have an understanding of relapse and how it is relevant to every single person in their life quest towards personal fulfilment. Pam will offer an opportunity to experience for yourself life-changing intervention and an approach that can re-align your practice to even greater effectiveness.
